God of my life, whose pow'r divine : AMs, 1801 Dec. 22.

Six stanzas of verse in English, signed Theophilus. At the head of the text are several lines in Latin: "In Philada. 22ndo die 10mi mensis anni 1801, R[obert] P[roud] sic cogitavit, seu[?], Praesentiae divinae sensus ne unquam authoris animo deficiat, Praecatio." The first eight lines of the second stanza, beginning "For, tho we hear no vocal sound," and ending "The hand that made us is divine," are nearly identical to the last stanza of Joseph Addison's paraphrase of Psalm 19, which begins "The spacious firmament on high."
